For patients with limited mobility or dementia, a significant risk of injury may exist from falling out of chairs or wheelchairs, or wandering unattended. For these patients, use of a chair sensor pad is a great way to ensure that caregivers can rest assured that they know when the patient is safely seated, and when they may be standing up and at risk of falling. The Fall Savers Chair Sensor Pad is a thin and flexible pressure-sensing pad that can be attached to monitors or nurse call systems to alert care teams of any unwanted movement.

This sensor pad is extremely thin and will not affect the the patient's comfort when placed on top of their chair's cushion. The sensor activates the monitor or nurse call system when the patient leaves the chair, allowing carers to quickly respond in order to ascertain the patient's safety. Suitable for use with most traditional chairs and wheelchairs, this pad should only be used for patients who weigh at least 80lbs (36.2kg).

When caring for patients, nothing is more important than hygiene and safety, and this sensor pad has been designed with this in mind. The materials that make up this pad are both anti-bacterial and latex-free, ensuring that allergy sufferers are protected and risks of contamination are minimised.
