Pressure Relief

Pressure relief care is one of the foremost concerns of any care environment as they look to ensure pressure ulcer risk in bedridden and low mobility patients is decreased.

Airflow mattresses or pressure relieving mattresses offer higher degrees of protection for the most vulnerable patients who may be at very high risk of pressure ulcers or whom may already be suffering from existing pressure damage. These airflow mattresses are more advanced and alternating air cells to alleviate pressure. Typically supporting the patients weight on the inflated cell whilst every second air cell is deflated to provide support and pressure relief in specific areas of the patient's body.
